Price and allowances #

Billed monthly in CAD and cancelled like a tier, for the end of the month.

Your address #

Every site gets an address built from the site name chosen in the request: https://<site>.falconlab.app. A site name is:

• 3 to 30 characters: lower-case letters, digits and hyphens;
• without a hyphen at the start or the end, and without two hyphens in a row;
• not starting with falcon or xn--;
• not a name reserved for Falcon’s own addresses, such as www, api, portal, docs, status or mail.

The Web hosting panel shows the address as you type. A name another organisation holds, or a reserved name, is refused when you send the request, with the reason. Rarely, a name passes the portal but is already in use on falconlab.app; the administrator then asks for another name before publishing. Once the site is published, only an administrator can change its name.

How it works #

1. Request a name in the Web hosting panel of the portal dashboard, with notes if you want a custom domain.
2. Upload your site as a zip from the same panel, before or after the site is published.
3. An administrator publishes it within one business day. The first time, the administrator also connects the address; its TLS certificate is then issued automatically once the address resolves, usually within a few hours.
4. Upload again whenever the site changes. The same lead time applies, and each upload replaces the whole site.

The zip #

• At most 25 MB; keep images and media small, or serve them from elsewhere.
• A plain zip archive of static files: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts.
• index.html at the top level of the archive, or inside a single top-level folder.
• No server-side code: nothing in the archive is executed. Redirects and custom headers are not configurable in the preview.

Custom domains #

Name the domain in the notes of the request, or ask an administrator later. The administrator connects it and tells you which DNS records to set; the certificate is issued once the records resolve. The falconlab.app address keeps working.

Limits and fair use #

• One site per organisation.
• The storage and monthly transfer allowances above are for a site that presents the organisation or its integration. A site that serves large downloads, media streaming or another party’s content, or that exceeds the allowances for two months in a row, is taken down after notice.
• Publishing is manual and takes up to one business day; there is no continuous deployment, no build step and no preview address.
• The private preview terms apply, and the site must not present itself as Falcon or as Ducky Software.
